Text Anything Pricing Explained

Text Anything is a Salesforce application designed to send and receive Application-to-Person 10 Digit Long Code (A2P 10DLC) compliant text messages from our customer’s Salesforce accounts. The main benefit of our service is that it allows businesses to send high volume messages without the need for dedicated short codes, offers a high deliverability and allows for businesses to see and monitor their “trust score” with carriers.

We support Short Message Service (SMS) - text messages consisting of 160 character segments, and Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) - messages containing multimedia content such as images - over cellular networks and the internet.

Our Packages

We offer three packages:

International - For companies that do not message US & Canadian numbers and therefore do not require A2P 10DLC compliance

Small Business - For companies that message in the US & Canada, require A2P 10DLC compliance but send less than 2000 messages/day

Enterprise - For companies that message in the US & Canada, require A2P 10DLC compliance send more than 2000 messages/day or political messages

Salesforce License Fees

Salesforce license fees are the monthly per user fees paid for Text Anything to place its application on the AppExchange. We intentionally kept these as low as possible to encourage broader adoption of our A2P 10DLC compliant application.

Text Message Fees

Text Message Fees are the fees we charge to send and receive each 160 character SMS or MMS segment. These fees vary for businesses from carrier-to-carrier and by country so we do not charge a fixed amount - we take the actual carrier cost and apply a fixed markup. Often we do not receive the actual carrier cost until the end of the business day so when a message is sent or received we place a value on it and reconcile the estimated amount to the actual cost once the actual cost is received. Hence you will see a “Reconciliation Fee” line item on your account. These amounts are generally very small but serve to ensure we do not over or undercharge and that costs are kept consistent.

Phone Number Fees

Phone number fees are the cost to use a phone number each month. 10 digit long code (10DLC) phone numbers are $2/month and toll-free numbers are
$4/month in the US and Canada. Phone number fees may be higher in other parts of the world. Like text messages we put a fixed markup on what the carriers provide us. If a phone number is “released” meaning you indicate you do not need it any longer, you will not be charged on the next billing cycle but the unused portion of the current month is not refunded.

A2P Registration Fees & Secondary Vetting

Campaign registration fees apply only to US and Canadian customers. The fees are $4 for A2P 10DLC Registration [for both Small Business and Enterprise Plans] and an additional $40 for Brand Registration for Enterprise accounts [this is referred to as “Secondary Vetting”]. The additional $40 is required for Enterprise clients since they are high-volume enabled accounts and this is a carrier requirement. Campaign registration and brand fees are passed on at cost and not marked up.

As of January 26th, 2023 carriers are require vetting of all new campaigns. This is a $15 dollar charge that Text Anything passes on at cost. This means for all accounts messaging to US numbers, the campaigns you use, when you create and submit them will be subject to a $15 charge. If you delete an account and then create a new one, or if your business requires multiple accounts - for example, “customer care” and “delivery notifications” each campaign, upon creation will be charged a $15 one-time campaign vetting fee.

Campaign Vetting Fee(s)

Campaign Fee(s)

Campaign fees are charged by carriers on a monthly basis. A full description of campaign types is here and they vary in monthly cost by campaign type. For example, “Customer Care” is a campaign type that costs $10/month. Campaigns are associated with each number you use and the campaigns are periodically audited by carriers to ensure compliance. Small Business accounts may only require one campaign, however Enterprise clients may require different accounts for each application, i.e., “Customer Care”, “Marketing”, “Account Notifications”, “Delivery Notifications” etc.

Note:

  • Campaign fees are passed on at cost and not marked up

  • Certain campaigns, i.e., “Mixed” - a campaign that covers multiple use cases, is likely to have a lower throughput and higher message cost

Reconciliation Fees

When a customer sends a message from Text Anything we book an estimated cost to the message based on message type and the number of segments. Because different carriers charge different fees for A2P messaging this fee is later reconciled with the actual carrier cost when it is received - usually by the end of day PST. When we receive the actual cost we reconcile the estimated fee up or down depending on the cost.
