WhatsApp® Business Texting in Salesforce
WhatsApp is a great way to interact with your customers in areas around the globe where text messages are not an option. It works just like our text message product, with an interactive text message pane and utility bar conversation manager, but WhatsApp has their own form of compliance.
Some things to note about WhatsApp for Business are:
You can register your business inside the Text Anything app.
You must provide your own phone number to use as your WhatsApp messaging number. This can be a landline or a cell phone number - you will need to verify this number via text message or by an automated call from WhatsApp.
If a customer has not messaged you within the past 24 hours, you may only message them using an approved template.
Templates are submitted to WhatsApp for manual review.
WhatsApp message rates are comparable to text messages.
This feature will be available in Q4 of 2023.
